Men’s Relapse Prevention Group
“Success is the sum of small efforts made day in and day out.”
- robert collier -
This group meets once a week for two hours on Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:30 pm, for twelve weeks. The programing incorporates evidence based, therapeutic interventions for addressing addiction: mindfulness relapse prevention practices (MBRP), affective experiential interventions (AEDP), CENAPS 12 step model, family systems theory and group psychodrama.
This is a voluntary, therapy group for men who have completed some form of addiction treatment and are in their first year of recovery. The group is limited to 12 participants. The focus is on moving beyond sobriety and into the developmental challenges of early recovery. The group offers a forum for men to share the challenges that are faced in the repair of relationships, the shift in lifestyles and habits that contribute to maintaining a greater restoration of the self, spiritual maintenance and skillfulness in living sober.
